Located in one of Brighton’s most interesting residential areas, Old School House is just a stone’s throw from both the popular area of “Seven Dials” and the exciting Brighton seafront. It is surrounded by historic period terraces giving the area the character which epitomises Brighton architecture.
The Old School House was built in the early 20th Century and from 1950 until recently was a dining hall and boarding house attached to the famous Brighton & Hove Girls High School in Temple Gardens. It contains many graceful Lutyens-inspired features including delicate herringbone brickwork and floor-tiles, traditional casement windows with leaded lights and an elegantly proportioned solid oak dog-leg staircase with tapered carved newel posts and slender spindles.
